Case Studies in Therapeutic Nutrition

Case Studies in Therapeutic Nutrition
by Barbara Luke
Published by Little, Brown and Company, 1977
ISBN 0-316-53609-1, 143 pages

This was my first book, and it was written for nurses as part of a continuing education series. The book presented a series of case studies in which the dietary therapy centered around modifications in protein (renal disease, hepatic disease, and cancer of the gastrointestinal tract), fats (pancreatic disease and gastrointestinal surgery), or carbohydrates (diabetes mellitus). Rationale for specific diet therapies were detailed, as well as corresponding diets, menus, and special products.
